Sarah Ruth Gilbert is President of Ruth’s HomeWorks, Inc. An entrepreneurial mom, she launched Ruth’s HomeWorks in 2004 as a resource for local homeowners searching for pre-screened, trustworthy home improvement professionals. Contractors in the Ruth’s HomeWorks’ network pay a pre-negotiated commission for work secured which means the service is free to homeowners.
Ruth’s HomeWorks has served thousands of homeowners in Wichita, KS and surrounding areas and currently manages a stable of more than 45 contractors ranging from furniture repair, housecleaning and handymen to licensed concrete specialists, roofers and General Contractors.
Sarah Ruth was named after her grandmothers, Sarah Argento and Ruth Gilbert. At the time Ruth’s HomeWorks was established, both grandmothers were in their late 80′s and fortunate to live independently in their own homes. Sarah and Ruth hired many services to help around their homes. Lawn care, housecleaners, tree trimmers and masons were a few of the professionals hired to help them remain independent, safe and in their own homes. Although she had to say good bye to both grandmothers in 2007, Sarah Ruth still interviews each contractor for her network with the same scrutiny as she would if they were to work on her own grandmothers’ homes.
Whether you’re new to the area and don’t know who to call, aren’t sure who to trust, or just don’t have time to search for qualified professionals, Sarah Ruth can help!
Giving Back to the Community
Checkout Ruth’s on FaceBook and Twitter for a featured adoptable dog each week. Sarah Ruth selects and showcases a local Humane Society dog with the goal of finding its forever home amongst the generous homeowners who follow her. You’ll often find her own three rescues in her office each day, Peggy, a Boston Terrier, Tuesday, a Pit Bull-Labrador mix, and Luna, an Australian Kelpie-Labrador mix.
Each year, Sarah Ruth also raises money to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Midwest Chapter through their annual fundraising bicycle ride, Autumn Trails Classic. She volunteers at her church and to her son’s school and Boy Scout Troop.
